Hardrace Roll-Center Adjusting Lower Ball Joint, 2004-08 Acura TL & TL-S, 6768

Extended lower ball joints correct the roll-center on lowered cars. This effectively maintains a geometry closer to the stock configuration, allowing for more-proper movement of the suspension. Note that these ball joints will lower the ride height of the car in the front, and an appropriate adjustable damper setup is needed to compensate (to get the right height for visual rake and weight distribution, get a full-length adjustable coilover kit).

Kit is sold as a pair of bushings with spacers, nuts, and cotter pins.

DO NOT USE THE CASTLE-NUTS INCLUDED WITH THESE BALL JOINTS ON YOUR TL. Reused the stock nuts instead. The new nuts are not large enough to capture the ball-joint insert in the lower control arm, and the ball joint can pull free from the arm if the factory nut is not use.

Customer Questions

the item is described as lower ball joint replacements but there is only 1 lower ball joint for each side of the front of the vehicle (ua6 & ua7) which is located in the front lower control arm. does the item only fit the lower ball joints? or does the item cover the upper control arm ball joint and lower ball joint on the same side?

This kit is for a pair of lower ball joints. That is one for each lower arm. For upper ball joints, it is recommended to replace the upper arm with either a factory or aftermarket replacement with pre-installed ball joints.

Q:Would this fit my 08 TL-S

Yes this part is stated as compatible with all 2004-08 Acura TL models.

Q:I'm not going to be going crazy with the drop on my tl. I'm only trying to go about an inch and a half lower than stock. Are these required for this minor amount if lowering?

This part is one that will lower the car a little on it's own, so be aware of that. This item is meant to improve the handling of the car by causing less weight transfer in corners. It is a performance item. If you are only looking to lower the car and are not putting a higher demand on handling, this part may not be necessary.

Q:I plan on installing extended lower ball joints along with compliance bushings on my 07 TL, would you recommend going with these Hardrace ball joints or the J's Racing extended ball joints?
A:We think both brands are great but have had reports than the J's Racing are more durable and reliable.

so far nothing but good things to say about these. i put these in along with the spherical compliance bearings and the car feels great. remember to raise your car about 1/8-1/4" before installing as they will drop your car a little bit.

thanks for getting these in Marcus!
