Install and Driving Impressions for the Progress Rear Sway Bar

Progress Suspension anti-roll bars (or sway bars) dramatically improve handling by reducing the traction-robbing body ügleanüh that rolls part of the outside tires off the pavement. Progress Groups's Sport-tuned Anti-roll bars replace skinny OEM bars and rubber bushings with larger diameter (stiffer) alloy steel bars and polyurethane bushings. More roll stiffness means less body lean, and the tires stay flatter on the pavement (larger contact patches). The result is more grip and added driver control!

  • Less body roll means more traction, faster cornering speeds, and increased driver confidence.
  • Polyurethane bushings produce crisp response on turn-in.
  • 2008-13 ACCORD BAR IS A 22MM BAR WITH TWO MOUNTING HOLES FOR STIFFNESS ADJUSTMENT. THIS IS AN ADJUSTABLE SWAY BAR WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO FINE TUNE THE HANDLING OF YOUR CAR
  • Installation does not impact alignment angles
  • Ride quality is not impacted over straight roads; only noticeable while cornering or transversing uneven surfaces.

Progress Anti-roll bars are cold-formed in-house using custom-built precision bending equipment. Both laser-cut and CNC bar ends are MIG welded in place using a precise fixture for an exact fit.

For best street performance results, use in conjunction with a sports damper kit, such as the Tein Super Street or Basic Damper Kits.

Anti-sway bars go by many names. Sometimes they are referred to as anti-roll bars, roll bars, or sway bars...but they all do the same...

Customer Questions

Q:

1. Do I need new/beefier end links to go with the Progress 22mm sway bar or can I reside the original ones that are on there now? (2010 Honda Accord v6, 100k miles, bone stock)

2. Given the rest of the car is stock, is it safe to run this bar without doing other upgrades? I heard someone say something about oversteer increasing to dangerous levels.

A:

1) No, you can reuse the stock ones.

2) Absolutely, although I would keep it on the softer adjustment setting to avoid putting too much stress on the chassis mounts. The people who are stating danger of oversteer are grossly overstating a minimal change in chassis dynamics (the car CAN be caused to oversteer more, but you must do this with intention. It is unlikely to happen on accident or as a surprise.)

Q:If I get the 22mm Anti-Sway Bar (Part No: 62.0105, install it on my Daliy Driver (2009 Honda Accord EX-L), Do I need to get the Performance End Links?
A:

No, those are optional.
