When you work with one company for a long time, and then that company makes a dramatic change, it can be little bit starling. Right now we're talking about Ingalls Engineering, who earlier this year was taken over by Dorman Products. This change isn't surprising given Ingalls' aptitude for creating an enthusiast worthy product line of quality parts.

We weren't really sure what to expect from Dorman's take-over. Ingalls has provided Heeltoe with a host of alignment adjustment products, as well as OEM replacement products, for many years now. And let's not forget the Stiffy engine torque damper!

Ingalls Stiffy ETDs have been consistent Heeltoe favorites for many years. With Dorman at the helm, what does the future of the Ingalls product line look like?

After speaking with Dorman, we've found it looks a lot like it does today. Dorman itself is primarily a OE replacement parts supplier. Heeltoe's customer need quality replacement ball joints, bushings, and control arms we now have a larger catalog to draw upon with Dorman. Dorman's takeover of Ingalls is more about adopting the array of adjustable chassis products that Ingalls offers then it was about pushing those products off the market.

Likewise, we've been told that the Stiffy engine torque damper will continue to be available. In order to continue the supply these products to our customers, Heeltoe has opened an account with Dorman to source former Ingalls and current Dorman products. We've already placed many drop ship orders for customers who have been waiting for product, working on bringing our stock levels back up.

Heeltoe customers should be aware that Dorman and Ingalls products are effectively interchangeable now. Currently our website is listing and offering Ingalls Engineering products, and if you should order one of those products and it item in a Dorman box shows up we consider these parts to be interchangeable and in many cases are identical.
