Kit Details :

The Stage 2 kit surpasses other combinations of pads and rotors, giving the best possible performance without impact to streetability.

There are aftermarket parts, and then there are upgraded parts. The aftermarket is littered with products that have fancy coatings, pointless patterns carved into the faces, and usually not much else to offer. HTSpec kits go outside a single brand to combine the best features of rotors, pads, and lines to provide a kit that functions better than the competition. If performance is as important as appearance or brand names, HTSpec kits fit the bill perfectly.

At Heeltoe we believe if you are going to change the rotors, it makes sense to get the best ones available. Most other rotors are essentially the same; many different companies even use the same part number roots to identify them. Yes, RB Performance rotors have slots for clearing dust from the rotor face, and a black EDP coating to prevent unsightly rust buildup. But these are hardly features in a market full of copycats. RB Performance is one of the few companies to craft rotors from the ground up as enhanced over stock. And we are not talking about fluff like the slots.

    These features make RB rotors stand out:
  • Curved cooling vanes for greater airflow within the rotor. Brake over and over without excessive heat build-up.
  • Engineered alloy with increased carbon over stock grey iron, for wear resistance and to increase the coefficient of friction of the rotor compound.
  • Heat treated to further increase hardness, reducing wear. Change expired pads multiple times without resurfacing.
  • Reinforced hub section for the strongest hat/hub interface in the industry. Guaranteed not to warp.

With great rotors you want to use great pads. Having found a great pad for the street in the ET-series, RB set its sights on a dual-duty pad that could be used on the street and the track. This led to the development of the XT-series brake pad. Formulated specifically to provide great modulation to enable deft threshold braking while resisting extreme temperatures and wear, the XT910 works well under extreme use on the street and moderate track use. They remain great for daily use by providing smooth and consistent braking, even in colder temperatures. There is a possibility of increased noise over standard pads, but the durability and tractability make this compromise very favorable.

Optional on Stage 2 are RB Performance front brake calipers. These calipers are forged aluminum 4-piston units with stainless steel pistons. The steel pistons transfer less heat to the fluid than conventional aluminum pistons found on Brembo or Stoptech units. The forged bodies are very strong and resist flex under extreme use. Brackets are included for use with standard size calipers, but can be upgraded later if you decide to move to a larger rotor. State if you prefer Black or Red calipers in the order comments when checking out!

Rounding out the package is a set of Fastline Performance Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines and a couple pints of Motul RBF600 fluid. The standard brake fluid is great for everyday use, and even sporting driving. The elevated temperatures of heavy duty use can causing the standard fluid to boil, causing a dangerous loss of hydraulic pressure. RBF 600 has a considerably higher boiling point, making it appropriate for use in Stage 2 and higher kits, where performance is demanded. These components provide a firm and consistent pedal feel that give you the confidence to use all that the Stage 2 Rotor and Pad selections offer. Change your brake fluid annually to maintain an excellent brake pedal.
