Details

RV6 Performance produces these fantastic Primary/Pre- Converter Deletes (PCDs) for the 2nd Generation of J-series engines (ones with the 2-port outlet on the cylinder head). These parts are completely designed using 3D CAD and CMM, the transitions from the head to the pipe and from the pipe to the j-pipe are made from precision cast 304 stainless steel. This allows for optimum turbulence free flow with no sacrifice in strength. The castings are thicker than 5mm at their thinnest point. RV6 is confident that these cast sections can handle any abuse without cracking.

RV6 PCDs increase power by completely removing restriction from exhaust. The tradeoff of this wide-open performance is there will be increase sound from the exhaust, which can sometimes add a raspy tone. Additionally, the smell and soot out of the tailpipe will increase as well.

In higher horsepower or high performance applications it is recommended that users buy the PCD, or Pre-Cat Delete kit because the metal converter cores in the HFPCs can deteriorate prematurely due to their close placement to the engine.

I want to do from the header all the way back . Do you have a header that fits to the j-pipe, then exhaust?

A:

Your vehicle is not be equipped with traditional "headers." Before going further, we would suggest reading this article regarding the exhaust layout on your J-Series Engine equipped vehicle: An Outline Of The Exhaust Layout On J-Series Honda V6 Engines

We can provide a complete set of exhaust components from the engine to the tips, and will be happy to consult you on the needed items.

Q:

Will this give me a check engine light?

A:

It should not, no. However due to the nature of the part deleting a converter, and the car's computer having provisions to check for such a thing, it is not impossible that one will come on at some point. If it does, please contact us for more info.

Q:

Is this a direct fit on a stock j pipe or is it only for the RV6 set up? Also what do u mean by "off-road use only"?

A:

Yes, these cat deletes are a direct bolt on and will work with any bolt-on j-pipe, including those from XLR8 or ATLP.

Removing functioning catalytic converters from cars is not legal, and so if you are going to but and install these parts the expectation is that you would not be using the car on public roads.

Q:

Are 02 bung 90's that come with this the defoulers or just an extension for clearance?

A:

They are defoulers, and they are angled for clearance. So the answer to your question is: Both!

Q:

Will this mess with emissions in California?

A:

This part is not legal for road use in any state, including California.
