Details

New Formula Button disc, 110% over stock holding capacity.

This package is a replacement for Clutchmasters kits where a flywheel is already installed but the clutch has worn. A CM flywheel is required to install this clutch.

The FX350 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with Clutch Masters New Formula Button disc. This clutch is designed for the street enthusiast or weekend racer who plans to abuse their vehicle on an occasional basis and have a spirited driving style. The FX350 clutch system has a higher holding capacity than a segmented Kevlar lining without compromising the street friendly characteristic Clutch Masters is known for. For years enthusiasts have had to compromise durability for drivability and vise versa, however with Clutch Masters New Formula button we have closed the gap between these two tradeoffs.

Customer Questions

Q:what is the main difference between the sprung hub and the rigid hub on these clutches?
A:

A sprung hub will allow the disc to dampen abrupt inputs from the engine. It makes the take-up feel a little softer and more forgiving. You will loose a little bit of torque transfer to the wheels, and it will not feel as direct. But almost all clutch systems have dampening in them. In your car it is in the dual mass flywheel, so most of the time you would get a rigid hub for use with a stock flywheel. People would typically get a sprung hub with a billet flywheel.
