Opening the valve at 68C (stock 78C). Full opening at 83C (stock 90C).Like a lower temperature thermal switch, the thermostat helps maintain optimal water temperatures for maximum performance. The thermostat sets the valvefs opening temperature lower than the stock to circulate the coolant earlier in order to maintain the temperature at around 75C-85C. As a result, it works toward preventing power loss, knocking and various negative thermal effects. It works well for all types cooling systems from the stock radiator to multi layer racing radiators.Jfs Racing recommends use of this product in combination with the lower temperature thermal switch.
