Testimonial from an actual customer:The EM shifter was good for the money(only $35usd) and it reduced the throw considerably, however, shifting was notchy and getting it into gear was a challenge at the track. I found myself missing the 2nd to 3rd shift while accelerating hard and 3rd to 2nd while on the brakes was difficult as well. The shifter also rattled from time to time. The biggest obstacle was the reach. Not to bash on the EM shifter because, as I mentioned, the 'bang for buck' is really hard to beat.
The new FLP shifter is absolutely amazing. Shifts are crisp and effortless since it is counterweighted. The throw is similar to stock, however, since it is so easy to shift it feels shorter when bangin' through the gears. I had the Mugen shifter bushings installed along with it so I'm sure that helped out. Mis-shifting is next to impossible. And the big one: THE REACH IS PERFECT!!!! Having it so close to the wheel is ingenius. Definately one of the best mods I done lately. Quote By: white rocket on Honda-Tech.com Linked Here! |
